Ash Pilgrim

Twelve seasons on foot, breathing through cloth soaked in his own blood. He has forgotten the name of the city he is walking toward. He still walks. The road behind him has been overgrown and forgotten by the maps; the road ahead, by every report, no longer exists. Neither circumstance has, so far, persuaded him to stop.
